3HO Foundation

3HO stands for the Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization with a mission to inspire everyone everywhere to realize their full potential through the uplifting experience of Kundalini Yoga.

Founded in 1969, the 3HO Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. Over the past five decades, 3HO has become a vibrant, dynamic community of leaders, teachers, students, and seekers of various faiths, persuasions, and cultures practicing the time-proven technology of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, grounded, and centered in a philosophy of compassion and kindness.

The lifestyle teachings of 3HO are designed to support people to help them live healthy, happy, and holy; bountiful, blissful, and beautiful; and as a whole, healed and sovereign human being.

Beyond Addiction

Beyond Addiction is an internationally recognized yoga-based addiction recovery program which originated in 2008 in Ontario, Canada and has since been taught internationally.

It was developed by Sat Dharam Kaur ND, certified Kundalini Yoga teacher trainer and instructor, author, and naturopathic doctor, and Jivan Joti Kaur PhD. The program integrates the teachings of renowned addiction expert, speaker, and author Dr. Gabor Maté and experts in the addiction field.

The 16-session program is designed for (a) individuals seeking to develop healthy habits and overcome addictive behaviors; (b) health professionals and yoga teachers who work with addiction, and (c) certified Kundalini Yoga teachers who would like to teach a yoga-based addiction recovery program.

International Karam Kriya School

In collaboration with the spiritual teacher Shiv Charan Singh, founding director of the International Karam Kriya School (1996), darshan offers Kundalini Yoga teacher trainings, certified by the Kundalini Research Institute.

Karam Kriya means ‘Total action through which our karma is brought to completion though application of spiritual consciousness guided by the intelligence of numbers’. Through the philosophy and practice of Karam Kriya, Shiv Charan Singh is deeply committed to guiding students in their spiritual growth so they can bring spiritual awareness into their everyday lives and develop their full potential as human beings – to become the best they can be.



Following a degree in the Humanities and further training in counselling and therapeutic skills, Shiv Charan Singh, who is Scottish by birth, went on to become an outstanding spiritual counsellor, working intensively and successfully with people with drug habits and severe emotional problems. He continues to offer profoundly transformative individual and couples counselling and has been working internationally with groups for over 30 years.

He is the author of several books and articles on different aspects of spiritual life including human communication, the mystery of numbers (Let the Numbers Guide You) and poetry, (available on www.satnam.eu). As a renowned teacher of Kundalini Yoga (since 1980) and a Lead Teacher Trainer for the KRI accredited Kundalini Yoga Aquarian Teacher Training Level I & Level II, Shiv Charan Singh mentors training programmes worldwide.

​In the year 2000, he founded, along with his wife Satya Kaur, the vibrant and cosmopolitan Kriya Centre in London. And in 2007 he relocated to Portugal where he co-founded the Quinta do Rajo Ashram, a retreat centre and home base for the International Karam Kriya School.

International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association

The International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) is platform supporting KRI-Certified Kundalini Yoga teachers in their professional and spiritual growth. Through programs, resources, benefits, and educational offerings, IKYTA uplifts, nurtures and serves Kundalini Yoga teachers. The platform provides opportunities to network and connect, serve, and build unity through teaching, practicing, and sharing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.

IKYTA is part of the NGO 3HO Foundation International which is devoted to inspiring everyone, everywhere to live a Healthy, Happy, and Holy life through the Teachings of Kundalini Yoga.

Kundalini Research Institute

Kundalini Research Institute (KRI), a non-profit established in 1972, supports the dissemination of a comprehensive system of Kundalini Yoga, making it accessible to everyone through classes and content, and trains teachers that help students find peace, health, and prosperity in today’s modern age.

Office of Ethics & Professional Standards

The Office of Ethics & Professional Standards & Conscious Conflict Resolution (EPS) serves the unity, ethics, and integrity of local and global organizations such as the 3HO Foundation and Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) and Kundalini Yoga communities, ministers, teachers, and teacher trainers by resolving complaints and violations.

Since 2014, EPS has been handling complaints using a formal Complaint Procedure, Mediation and Restorative Justice. EPS works independently from, but very closely with KRI, IKYTA, 3HO, and Sikh Dharma International (SDI).

EPS is committed to teaching and upholding the values and ethics in the practice of Kundalini Yoga by supporting safe environments for members, communities, and organizations; educating community segments in ethical and respectful behavior; empowering students to have strong clear voices; championing an ethical, inclusive, diverse, and transparent culture where all participants can speak freely and be heard with respect; enhancing the integrity and professionalism of Kundalini Yoga teachers and KRI teacher trainers; and offering guided pathways of conscious conflict resolution.

Yoga Alliance

Yoga Alliance, founded in 1999, is one of the largest nonprofit associations representing the yoga community with over 7,000 Registered Yoga Schools (RYS) and more than 100,000 Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) as of April 2020.

The association believes the yoga we know and experience today has been forged from generations of teachers passing down this ancient practice. As a yoga education standard-setting organization, Yoga Alliance has grown alongside yoga’s natural progression. Today, its Standards set the ethical and educational framework for yoga teachers and schools to ensure high quality, safe, accessible, and equitable yoga teaching in communities around the world.

Yoga Alliance celebrates and uplifts the many diverse yoga styles, traditions, and lineages; advocates for self-regulation in the yoga industry; upholds the worldwide growth of yoga through education and community; encourages safe yoga instruction via quantitative standards; serves the member community by providing tools for professional growth and development; advocates for the yoga community’s protection from unfair or unnecessarily burdensome patents, taxation, or government regulation; and provides yoga schools and yoga teachers with effective business practices to help achieve success.
